The first Sunday of Advent! The Advent wreath candle was lit. Songs were sung and prayers offered. The story of the Annunciation was shared. Will we receive it? Can we live with an openness to God's love and choosing of us? Can we, this week, be surprised by God's love and say with Mary, "Let it be."

As David writes, we too find, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want....Even though I walk through the darkest valley, your rod and staff they comfort me."
